Apple is said to be developing a new product line. A foldable device is rumoured to be under development by the Cupertino based tech giant. The model has also been estimated to be similar to the newly released iPad Mini. Another report also hinted the launch schedule of this rumored Apple folding device.

According to a report by The Elec, Apple is developing a foldable product believed to be a smartphone equipped with a large display. The report states that the inner screen of this alleged book-style foldable is estimated to be in the range of 7 to 8-inch or somewhere between 7.6 to 8.4-inch.

Assuming this is correct, this gadget could be the first foldable iPhone or iPad that Apple has launched. The report also indicates that Apple foldable can launch by the end of 2026 or even later in 2027.

The reported size of the Apple foldable smartphone could replace the iPad Mini which was updated in 2021 and has an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen. This model now begins in India from Rs. 49,900 for the 2021 iPad Mini which uses in-house A15 Bionic chipset. It comes in 64GB and 256GB storage variants and in colours of Pink, Purple, Starlight, and Space Grey.

A previous report stated that the company has been moving towards the improvement of the iPad Mini with an OLED display. It is also probable to come with a bigger screen size than the current one. The screen size of the iPad Mini which is slated to be launched in the year 2026 could see an increase of 0.4-inch from the current iPad model to clock 8.7-inch. It is still said to retain its smallest iPad category.
